I first got to know Steven over a half year duration APAC Leadership Program that I participated in during 2019. 

Throughout this program which had a combination of business leaders representing 14 different countries, Steven ran a series of sessions covering the power of leadership, business strategy and communication.

I was inspired by the lessons that supported my personal growth during this time, especially as a result of Steven’s authentic coaching style. I found Steven to be knowledgeable, direct and thought provoking as he challenged my thoughts and had me examining my own strategy and approach for improvement.

Steven was direct, yet fair and help me clearly identify opportunities to improve with the support and tips that went with that.

A year on and I moved into a new Executive General Manager role which involved my employer being acquired which meant that I was then responsible for the integration of two businesses and a new CEO. 

During this transition I felt it would be the perfect opportunity to engage with Steven as a personal business coach to assist me in my personal development and the building of the new business.

During my coaching sessions with Steven held via video conference from Australia to Singapore, I have found that he combines his skills as a business coach, leadership coach and in some regards a life coach which has supported me to grow, develop and keep focused on the course that both the business is on – along with the journey that I am personally on.

Evaluation of INSPIRE-TIVATE’s Leadership Coaching Program

Kelly Services (Singapore) firmly believes in investing in and developing talents in the company. In 2019, I decided to take a different approach. Instead of sending my leaders to typical training courses, I asked Steven Chan of INSPIRE-TIVATE, a bespoke executive and leadership coaching company, to proposed something radical, practical and relevant.

The objectives were to; (1) Sharpen leadership skills, (2) Foster understanding amongst leaders from different functional departments, (3) Groom the Next-Gen leaders, and (4) Retain talents.

INSPIRE-TIVATE created the Leadership Coaching Program (LCP), centered around four case studies on actual business situations that the company had experienced. Those situations included dealing with challenges of leading difficult team members and retaining clients, making decisions with integrity to upkeep the reputation of the company in the face of financial and client pressure, and finally to be able to conduct out-of-the-box business planning to enhance the company performance in FY2020.

Steven skillfully prepared and facilitated 6 sessions over the year to lead 20 participants and my Directors through the program. His years of experience in senior leadership roles in major public-listed companies gave him a good understanding of business needs and how to motivate people to do their best made him relevant and effective in delivering LCP.
